What’s the difference between Screen Printing, DTF, and HTV?
Screen printing is a technique that pushes ink through a mesh screen directly onto the shirt. This is a great process for large runs or designs that have just a few colors. Sometimes there are other printing options that we’d recommend, like HTV (heat transfer vinyl) or DTF (direct to film), and we’ll advise you when you reach out to us for a quote. HTV involves cutting a design from vinyl and then heat pressing that directly onto the fabric. This results in a vibrant and durable print that’s great for smaller runs, or intricate designs. DTF prints the design onto a special film, and then it’s transferred onto the fabric using heat, which makes for a color print with a soft, almost seamless feel.
How do you do puff screen printing?
Puff printing is a unique type of screen printing that uses a special type of ink that expands when it’s exposed to heat. This creates a 3D type of look and feel, but it’s still very durable.

How can you make sure my colors are printed correctly?

That’s why we use an ink mixing system that helps us choose the correct Pantone color for your design, and a color spectrometer to measure and verify the color is right. What’s the difference between screen printing and direct-to-garment printing?
Screen printing is sometimes the catch-all term for t-shirt printing, but it means using a screen to apply layers of ink onto the garment, one color at a time. This is the ideal printing technique for larger orders with complex and vibrant designs. DTG, also known as “direct to garment” printing uses special printers that spray the custom design right onto the item in one pass. This makes it great for smaller orders.
